Before starting VALEXANDRE, I led a year-long national project for the Dutch government called the Learning Network on the Legacy of Slavery. I designed and managed a process that brought government officials and community experts together to have open, sometimes difficult conversations about how the legacy of slavery still shapes policies and institutions today. My role included developing the concept, managing the team, guiding the conversations, and making sure the outcomes had lasting impact.

This experience sharpened the core skills I now offer through VALEXANDRE: strong concept development, clear communication across different worlds, and the ability to lead complex, meaningful projects from start to finish. Today, I use these same skills to help clients shape creative campaigns, visual stories, and brand strategies that are not only beautiful, but thoughtful, intentional, and grounded.
